    IPL stands for intense pulsed light. It is a type of light therapy that is widely used by cosmetic and medical practitioners for various aesthetic and therapeutic purposes.   • Does IPL Hurt?

    Most users will feel a slight discomfort when using it. The feeling typically disappears after a few seconds to a minute and decreases with continued use. Compared to other treatments, IPL is much more tolerable.

  • How long will it take to start seeing results?

    Generally, in 4-8 weeks of treatment, hair will naturally fall off. In 8-12 weeks, hair will stop growing. Regular use can inhibit hair regeneration. Results may vary from person to person.

  • Does IPL work for all skin tones?

    IPL is suitable for light to medium skin tones. Do not use the device on dark skin tones.

  • Does IPL work for all hair colors?

    IPL relies on melanin in hair to absorb light energy. Therefore, IPL is not effective on light blonde, red, white or grey hair.

  • In which situations should I not use the device?

    You should NOT use IPL if:

    • • you have dark skin. Since dark skin absorbs more light energy, treating dark skin may cause discomfort / pain or injury to your skin (e.g. burns, blisters, discoloration, scarring)
    • • you have red, light blonde, grey or white hair. The device is not effective
    • • you are under 16 years old
    • • you are pregnant or breast-feeding
    • • you are using steroids continuously
    • • your skin has been tanned or sunburned in the past 4 weeks
    • • you have a history of skin cancer or precancerous lesions
    • • you have light hypersensitivity or diseases related to light
    • • you have epilepsy
    • • you have electronic medical machine(s) implanted inside the body like pacemaker, or artificial heart, etc
    • • you took within the past 3 months or will take radioactive ray’s treatment or chemotherapeutics within 3 months
    • • you've used medicine or an astringent in the past month that are easy to cause light hypersensitivity
    • • you have any other conditions that would make you feel uncertain, please consult your physician

  • Which skin areas of my body should I not use the device on?

    Do not use device on:

    • • sensitive areas such as nipples, genitals, on or near the anus. These areas have darker skin color and higher hair density. Using the device on these areas may cause discomfort, pain, or injury to your skin
    • • pigmented areas including birthmarks, freckles, warts and other dark spots
    • • tattoos and permanent makeup
    • • scalp, eyebrows, on or near your eyes. Using the device on these areas may hurt your eyes
    • • any area with skin problems including psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, acne, herpes simplex, active infections, or wounds

  • Is it safe to use IPL while pregnant or breastfeeding?

    No, do not use IPL if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Is it safe to use IPL over freckles or moles?

    No, do not use IPL over freckles or moles.

  • Is it safe to use IPL over tattoos?

    No, do not use IPL over tattoos.

  • Can I use this product repeatedly on the same skin area during a treatment?

    No, do not use this product on the same area more than twice in one treatment. Too much energy penetrating into the dermis may damage your skin.

  • Can I use this product before or after tanning?

    If your skin has been artificially or naturally tanned, we recommend to wait 4 weeks before using your handset. You should wait 48 hours to tan after using your handset. Artificial tan should not be on your skin while using your handset.

  • What are the possible side effects of using this device?

    Most people may feel a slight discomfort. The feeling typically disappears after a few seconds to a minute, and decreases with continued use. Some people may feel heat and tingling sensations, followed by redness on the skin, which usually disappears within 24 hours. This is normal. If you have any abnormal skin reactions, please stop using the device immediately and contact your physician.

  • Do I need to wear eye protection when doing treatment?

    Yes, please wear the professional protective glasses included in the package to protect your eyes during treatment. Avoid looking directly into the light the device emits.

  • Do I need to shave before using the device?

    Yes, you should shave the desired areas before using your handset.

  • Which hair removal methods can I use between treatments?

    Between treatments, you should only shave when required. You should not wax, pluck, or epilate as these methods remove the entire root, which is the area light is absorbed during treatment.

  • How to perform a patch test?

    Step 1: Shave a small area you would like to test
    Step 2: Wear safety glasses that come with the package
    Step 3: Choose the lowest energy level 1, apply the device to the area, and press button to emit pulse
    Step 4: If you do not feel any discomfort, increase the energy level and move to the next small area
    Step 5: Wait 24 hours to examine the test area. If skin appears normal, begin your first treatment. If you feel discomfort and have skin reactions, stop using the device immediately and consult your physician

  • How frequently should I use the device?

    To achieve the best result, we recommend once, maximum twice on each area of skin during treatment, and do treatments once or twice per week. Hair will stop growing after the first three months of treatment. If hair is no longer growing back, you do not need to complete the whole 12 weeks treatments. When you see hair reappear, restart the treatment once every two or three months, depending on how fast your body hair grows.

  • What should I do after each treatment?

    After treatment, we recommend using sunscreen SPF15 on the treated areas whenever exposed to the sun or tanning lights such as tanning booths or solariums. 24 hours after treatment, you should avoid any activity or skin product that may irritate your skin, including hot tubs, saunas, tight-fitting clothes, bleaching, perfumed or peeling products. The mentioned activities or products may cause skin irritations such as itching and redness on the treated areas.

  • How to clean and store the device?

    It is recommended to clean the device after each use. Turn off device by touching and holding the power switch button for 3 seconds, disconnect power plug; gently wipe flash window with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Do not store device in a humid environment, store in a cool, dry place. Do not rinse or immerse device in liquids.

  • Does the handset come with a warranty?

    Yes, our products come with a one-year warranty. We will repair or replace manufacturing defects in material or workmanship under normal use within the first year from delivery free of charge.
